Asymmetrical eyelids after eczema - is this ptosis? (photos)

Hi! Ieczema on my eyelids for the past year, not particularly severe but they’ve swelled every now and again and been dry. I did have a couple of days where I hesitantly applied a mild steroid , although this was minimal application. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with my problem or just a coincidence. Anyway, recently I’ve noticed one eyelid feeling watery and heavier than the other and lid looks bigger. Is this ptosis or something else? What are my options?

However, you have mild levator disinsertion, which predisposes you to ptosis. The abnormality in the upper eyelid tendon accounts for the upper fold asymmerty. The fix is crease lowering surgery with an anchor blepharoplasty. If you are using any lash grow serums, you should stop these immediately. They cause permanent volume loss in the eyelid. Mild steroids used infrequently are not usually a problem. Stronger steroids use frequently can affect upper eyelid fold volume.
