Can I do Botox after tip rhinoplasty a few years ago?

Botox to the Nasalis (to improve "bunny lines") and botox to the NARES (to improve nose flare) are ok to do after you have had a surgical rhinoplasty, however it is important to note that this will not make your nose "smaller". A Liquid Rhinoplasty (nose filler) is ok to do after a patient has had a surgical Rhinoplasty if the patient is a good candidate, however it is at more high risk than a nose that has not undergone any surgical rhinoplasty. It is also important to note that a Liquid Rhinoplasty with filler will NOT make the nose smaller. This can help alleviate a dorsal hump on the bridge of nose , give more "lift" to the bridge of a more "flat' nose,and can slightly lift the tip of the nose, but will not make the nose appear smaller. We always suggest consulting with your surgeon or a board certified NP or injector to figure out the best plan for you to achieve your desired results.

Thank you for your question. It is true that a nose that has been operated on (known as the “surgical nose”) is at much higher risk from complications from filler. This is because the anatomy has changed. The nose is already a high risk injection site. I do not recommend filler in a virgin nose let alone a surgical nose. The best plastic surgeons I know won’t inject filler into a nose because they have seen all the horrific complications….it’s just not worth it!
Toxin is a different story. If your goal is to lift your tip, you may be able to try a little toxin safely. Of course a full evaluation is necessary and this is not medical advise. Good luck!
