Hi, I have a wide face and i'm not sure if it's due to fat, overdeveloped Masseter or overdeveloped zygoma. It might combination as well not sure, which procedure might help me with this Thanks

Thank you for your question and for providing photos. You may have an overdeveloped masseter, which can create a wide jawline appearance due to clenching or grinding of the teeth, or due to genetics. Botox is an excellent option for slenderizing the jawline. When injected into the masseter muscle, its size is reduced to provide a slimming effect to the lower third portion of the face. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced expert injector. They will be able to discuss your concern with you and help you decide on the best treatment option.

This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. If you have overdeveloped masseter muscles Botox or other neuromodulators are a good option for you.  Treatment will help to slim the jawline with results lasting three to four months.  I encourage you to meet with an experienced injector for an evaluation.

You have overdeveloped masseter which can be treated well with botox. With the help of botox, your broad look of face will get reduced and the shape will get improved especially of the bigonial angle. The dosage of botox will be decided by your doctor after looking at the activity of the muscle. You will start seeing the results of botox after 7 days and the results will be more noticeable after 15 days plus the results will last from 4 to 6 months after which you may require to undergo treatment again.

Thank you for your question. To help the look of a wider face I would start with masseter botox. With the inability to clench the masseter muscle as much, it helps slim the face. Another option would be coolsculpting or kybella for the chin/neck region to help sculpt the jawline. Good luck!
