I am a teenage girl and I have noticed a a dark spot on my mole which is near my vagina, should I be worried?

I have always had a mole there but more recently I have noticed a dark spot there, I'm still unsure if it has always been there or not. I live in Scotland and the weather is not great but I go to Spain every year and am exposed to sun over there. I am worried sick about this but haven't yet told my mum and dad, help please

I can understand your concern and because a medical professional has not seen your mole, best to have it evaluated by your primary family doctor, a dermatologist, or a plastic surgeon. Depending on its appearance and any recent changes, treatment options include watchful waiting to see if any concerning changes take place over several months, a biopsy to determine any concerning aspects of the mole, or complete excision through surgery.
