I am a healthy active 55 year old female. Twenty years ago I developed an abscess in my thalamus secondary to a Deep Brain Stimulator placement. Craniotomy, Craniectomy, and a Cranioplasty later has resulted in a complex surgical scar that has become exceptionally painful when manipulated such as combing my hair or changing any clothing that may tug or pull on the incision. Is a possible scar revision even an option?
