I have hyperpigmentation on my face and neck for over a year and a half after I had laser hair removal. they told me to just wait until it fades by it’s own but nothing happened. Then they prescribed (avoquin) and no difference. I went again to do Fraxel laser but they advised me to do (Dermamelan peeling) they said I shouldn’t expect more than 20% of lightning, which one is better for my case? Dermamelan is more expensive than Fraxel in my country and I’m afraid to do it with no benefit.

Hello and thank you for your question. I do not recommend a chemical peel with acne as it will further irritate the area. I recommend using IPL to treat the affected area. I think you will see very positive results. I suggest an in person evaluation to explore your options. Best wishes.

Hi,
You are going to want to wait 10 days or once you are completely done peeling from the peel. This is because you do not want to over exfoliate the area or cause the skin to come off sooner than it is ready to. By exfoliating too soon you could hyper sensitize your skin. Hope this helps!
