4 years post rhinoplasty - What should I do with my infected nose? (Photos)

I had rhinoplasty 4 years ago using Surgiform for the bridge, ear cartilage for the tip, and Medpor for the septum. A year ago, my nose started turning upward — I didn’t realize it was a sign of infection. By August 2025, it became swollen, with discharge and crusting inside the right nostril. Now there’s soft tissue hanging out and bleeding. My surgeon in Vietnam recommends urgent removal. I’m worried: if the implants are taken out, will my nose become more contracted, upturned, or deformed? One doctor said if scar tissue isn’t too bad, they can revise it in one surgery using rib cartilage. Others suggest waiting to heal first to avoid re-infection. I’ve also heard of fat grafts to prevent contraction, but that’s not common in North America. I’m torn — should I remove the implants now and wait to revise later, or go ahead with rib cartilage in one surgery ?
