I have mild sleep apnea and am considering a facelift. I contacted an office locally and the intake staff said I couldn’t have elective surgery with them because of my sleep apnea. If I have a very mild case of the apnea does it matter? Are there other anesthetic choices?

Surgeons have different opinions on this, some use them, some do not. I have my patients wear one only for the first few days. At two weeks post op it is probably not necessary. Good luck.

You would not want to massage post facelift early on as you could possibly loosen some of the deep sutures that are holding the tissue in place. After 2-3 weeks, if there are areas of edema that concern you, some gentle massage may help with the lymphatic drainage. Always massage from the c...
