I am post op day 2 from a Mastopexy/Breast Augmentation. I got 325cc Inspira SRF. I am worried I went too big- I look a lot bigger than I expected. Are they just still really swollen? Will they mellow down in size over time?

Hello! Thank you for your question. Congratulations on having a breast augmentation and lift.  It is hard to comment on your breasts as they are covered by your post-op bra, but overall, it appears that your breast size is proportional to your frame. The breasts are swollen and this will significantly improve over 1-3 months, so be patient and don't be quick to judge.  Hopefully you went to a board certified plastic surgeon and had extensive discussions about your goals and expectations so that the implants that could help achieve the look you desire could be selected.  If so, you should have no worries.  I hope this helps!Sincerely,Dr. Sean Kelishadi

Although it's difficult to gauge your size exactly in your photos due to the surgical bra and dressings, the size increase that was more than what you had expected after surgery is probably temporary.  I advise my patients to expect some significant swelling immediately postop that will take several weeks to months to settle down completely.325 cc SRF is a fairly moderate size for many women, and judging from your frame in the photo, I suspect that this size will probably end up being a nice fit for you, once everything has healed and your swelling has subsided.If you're still worried, get in touch with your surgeon to discuss your concerns.  That's what we're here for!Hope this helps, and best of luck with the rest of your recovery.Dr. Lim

Hi and thanks for your photosI'd recommend that you give everything some time to settle. Your swelling may be maximal around this time, and it's way too early to judge your final result. It's common to have misgivings about size early on. 325cc is usually a nice moderate size for many women. Everything is going to change over the next couple of months. Try to relax and get recovered from surgery, and stay in touch with your surgeon about your concerns, but don't worry too much about size at this early point.Best wishes-
