Can I vape marijuana prior to a rhinoplasty?

Thank you for the question. The problem is not the marijuana per se, but really the smoke. Smoke has some toxins and impurities that can compromise healing. If you are a regular marijuana user and need to continue this around your surgery, it is best to use edibles (if you know your dose). If you do continue to use a vaporizer, make sure you have one that is as clean as possible. 

 Smoking of any kind can be detrimental to the healing processes in the nose or the body for any type of cosmetic surgery, including a rhinoplasty. In our practice, we perform rhinoplasty under general anesthesia with a board-certified physician anesthesiologist for patient safety and comfort.
