Answer: Radiesse Usage Radiesse is generally injected deeper than the hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane. It is very useful for filling deeper nasolabial lines. If you are asking about using it to make the upper cheeks look fuller, similar to what Voluma is being used for, then it needs to be injected deeply. I do not fell it will get you the results you want if injected superficially in the cheeks and the chance of unwanted irregularities is high.I do not recommend or use Radiesse to fill lips and lower eyelids due to potential issues with nodules. I am aware that some injectors do use Radiesse for those purposes, and I'm sure some patients do fine, but it is not worth the risk. There are better fillers for those areas.Thank you for your question and best wishes.

Answer: Radiesse depth of injection Radiesse can be injected deeply over bone or it can be injected in the subcutaneous layer below the dermis. It is not meant for very superficial injection. Some injectors will blend Radiesse with lidocaine or saline for smoother results. Make sure to see an expert physician injector.Regards,Dr. Ort
