Best suggestion to get left eyelid to match right? (Photo)

Question

Since getting lasik I noticed one eyelid has always drooped more than the other. I quite like my right eye. What options do I have to fix the fold on my left eye so they match?

An upper eyelid blepharoplasty with a levator advancement performed on the left side would make your eyelids more symmetric. However, if you look closely at the photograph you shared, you can see that the orbits, I.e., the "eye sockets" in which the globe (eyeball) rest are not the same size. It is impossible to fully correct an asymmetry due to a difference in the shape and position of the skeleton on each side of the face, by just performing surgery on the overlying soft tissues. However, if the surgery described above is performed deftly, the skeletal asymmetry could be better camouflaged.

Filler can save the day. If you prefer the right eye, filler may be the ideal solution for you to lower the fold and crease.

By looking at this photograph, it appears that actually the left eye is a similar size as the right-- however, there is more hollowness on the left side. This is often described as a superior sulcus defect. To restore the volume on the left side, small amounts of filler can be placed by an oculofacial specialist.
