I have a condition in my eyes (CSR) that gets worse with steroids. Are there any steroids used during s septo-rhinoplasty? Also the last 2 times I had rhinoplasty, my nose swole up after a few months. The first time it got so bad that I had to get a revision after 3 years. Second time it had some swelling but after a few steroid shots it went down some. I can no longer take any steroids because of this eye condition so hoping I wont need it again post procedure.

Thank you for your question. You do not have to have steroids after a rhinoplasty. Although they can help with swelling, it isn't an absolute necessity. I hope that helps, and best of luck to you.

No steroids do not have to be used before, during, or after a rhinoplasty.

Steroid injection has classically been used to reduce tip swelling, although in the vast majority of cases tip swelling can be largely controlled with operative technique---controlling cartilage structure or skin shrinkage. 
If the nasal tip swelling does (rarely) become a post-operative issue, I developed a technique using ultrasound to reduce tip swelling in one or two treatments
