Answer: Potential Side Effects of Morpheus8 Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Aesthetic Skin in Winnetka and Chicago. This is a great question. Morpheus8, which combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy, can be effective for treating under-eye concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging. However, using it in such a delicate area requires caution. Here are some potential risks and complications to be aware of: 1. Skin Sensitivity and Irritation: The skin under the eyes is thin and sensitive. The procedure might cause redness, swelling, or irritation. These effects are generally temporary but should be monitored. Your provider should use a lower energy setting and be cautious with needle depth to minimize irritation. 2. Bruising: The area around the eyes has a lot of small blood vessels, making it more prone to bruising. Avoid blood thinners, such as aspirin and certain supplements, before the procedure. Bruising is usually temporary but can last a few days to weeks. 3. Swelling: Post-procedure swelling is common, especially under the eyes where the skin is more prone to fluid retention. Swelling typically subsides within a few days. Applying cold compresses and keeping your head elevated can help reduce swelling. 4. Infection: Any procedure that involves skin punctures carries a risk of infection. Ensure the procedure is performed in a sterile environment, and follow post-procedure care instructions closely. Use prescribed or recommended topical antibiotics if needed. 5. Hyperpigmentation or Hypopigmentation: Changes in skin pigmentation can occur, especially if the skin is inflamed or irritated. Use broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect the treated area from sun exposure, which can exacerbate pigmentation issues. If pigmentation changes occur, consult your provider for appropriate treatments. 6. Scarring: Although rare, scarring can occur, particularly if the skin is not properly cared for or if the procedure is too aggressive. Ensure the provider is experienced and skilled, and adhere to aftercare instructions to support proper healing. I hope this helps and best of luck!

Answer: Morpheus does great anywhere on the body. Morpheus is such a great skin tightening and scar reduction tool. There really is not much else that can compete with it except true dermabrasions and medium TCA peels. It usually takes more than 1 treatment for best results.
