Is Morpheus8 safe for keloid prone skin or should I consider an alternative?

I am interested in Morpheus8 treatment, 50y.o. Asian, tan skin. I discover that my skin is prone in developing keloid. I noticed when I started acupuncture treatment. I have few small but noticeable a bump on my midface. Would Morpheus8 have the same affect like acupuncture and develop keloid? I'd like to try but afraid of having keloid all over my face. Will ultheraphy or Onda Pro or Picosure is better alternative for collagen booster treatment? Thank you.

This is a really important concern, and you’re wise to think carefully — especially since you know you’re prone to keloids. The short answer is: yes, there is a real risk with Morpheus8 (or other RF microneedling) given your background, and “safer” alternatives might be more appropriate, but everything depends a lot on how aggressive the treatment is and how experienced the provider is.

Keloids will emerge when there is enough trauma caused to the skin. Any form of needling can trigger a keloid, so Morpheus would not be recommended for your skin type as it is a combination of both micro-needling and radio frequency. A better treatment for you would be Neogen Plasma. This is an FDA cleared skin regenerating treatment for tightening skin and aiding in the appearance of pigmentation, pores, etc. Rather than using needles this treatment uses a nitrogen gas converted into plasma energy so there are no concerns when it comes to keloids.
