It is not uncommon to have these thin areas 7 months after a hair transplant. At this time, I would closely follow-up with your hair transplant surgeon so that he/she is aware of the potential problem and can offer you solutions. Regarding the number of grafts (10,000), it sounds like a lot, but that is a question only your surgeon can answer.

Hi Gorgeous618063,I reviewed your photos and It is hard to say what kind of result you have unless you post both before and after photos. I assume the pics you posted are only the after photos. You can see some growth noting the numerous small hairs. I will say that 10,000 grafts is a large amount of grafts. Maybe they meant 10,000 hairs which would be around 3,000 grafts. How many hair transplant sessions did you have? In our practice I would say an average for FUE procedure is between 2-3000 grafts per session. So if you had 10,000 grafts I would assume you had several sessions. You definitely need to have a discussion with your provider and explain your concerns. It can take up to a year to see the final result from a HT procedure. Most patients experience thickening over time as the grafts settle in. I always tell my patients to expect a final result around a year. Hope this helps.

I am puzzled why a 28 year old would need hair replacement. It is doubtful that you had 10,000 grafts. Don’t give up hope just yet, there’s always a chance that the grafts will start growing. Give it 2-3 months and check in with us. Wish you all the best.
