Had three moles removed and feeling pain the day after procedure. Is that normal?

I had 3 moles removed yesterday by a nurse practitioner(1on my chest, 1on my arm and 1underneath my arm/on my side. She gave me a shot in each mole, and then cut them off. She said that I should NOT be feeling pain after the procedure or the next day. Also, she told me that I could shower the same day OF the procedure, and so I did and took off the bandages and cleaned my wounds with antibacterial soap, and rebandaged them. I have been feeling pain since after the procedure. Is this okay/normal?

Thank you for your question. Any trauma or surgical procedures performed to the skin can have mild discomfort or tenderness a few days afterwards. As the area begins to heal, the pain should decrease; however, if the pain continues or increases along with redness, swelling, increase in bloody or purulent (yellow/green) discharge, then I would seek medical attention. I highly recommend you consult with your nurse practitioner regarding your questions and concerns about your biopsy sites. Take care and good luck.
