I am considering a medial thigh ( only incision in groin area) but I can’t find any pictures of what to expect. All I find is massive long scar pictures. How bad will the scar be? I know it varies, but aren’t there any gallery of possible results? Is it possible to hide them during sex?

Answer: Short-scar vs. long-scar medial thigh lift A medial thigh lift is designed to remove loose skin from the inner thigh region. A short-scar medial thigh lift involves an incision hidden entirely in the groin, which removes skin in a vertical direction only. This can be an effective treatment in patients with mild excess skin, particularly loose skin caused by normal aging; however, it can leave some horizontal skin laxity. A traditional medial thigh lift involves an incision that starts hidden in the groin and extends down the inner thigh toward the knee, which removes skin in both a vertical and horizontal direction. The long scar is hidden when standing or sitting with the thighs together but is more visible with walking and other positions in which the thighs are apart. The long scar is needed in patients with severe excess skin, particularly those associated with massive weight loss. In such patients, most people agree that the improvement in contour greatly out weights the appearance of the scar. In patients who have moderate skin laxity (greater than mild but less than severe skin laxity), I rely on patient preference. In such cases, I give the patient the option of whether to have a long scar that will achieve the best possible thigh contour or less contour improvement with a better hidden short scar isolated to the groin.
