Why am I still feel extremely tight and somewhat numb after an eyebrow/forehead lift?

Hello, thank you for sharing your question. Since Endotine stitches absorb as they heal, in my experience patients experience a more rapid recovery. However, healing after a brow lift is expected to take time as swelling and bruising subsides. The recovery process normally takes between 3 to 6 months until you'll start looking more like yourself again. Recovery after browlift does take some time for the swelling to settle out and sensation to return.  
Browlifts are performed a variety of ways and a lot of the recovery depends on the type of browlift that was performed.  Endotine is frequently used with endoscopic brow lifts but the device itself is relatively safe and is unlikely to cause problems with numbness of the forehead.  Anytime scalp incisions are made and the forehead skin is elevated, there is a risk of temporary or permanent numbness that can occur.  Typically this resolves over 3-6 months and the fact that you're experiencing itching is a good sign that the numbness is resolving and sensation should return to normal.
In terms of the asymmetry, this also can be related to swelling but make sure that you have your surgeon re-evaluate you to discuss your concerns further.  Good luck!

Hi Jenjen1964, congratulations on your recent procedure! Feeling numbess and tightness right now is extremely normal. You are only 7 weeks post op which is very early in your healing process. It may take 6 months up to a year for you to fully heal. If any of these symptoms worsen I definitely recommend following up with your board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
