Thank you for your question, Bickering. Cost varies based on the market and the surgeon. Please do not use cost as your main criteria for moving forward with surgery. Be sure to consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
You will find that the surgery will range between $4000 to $10000, perhaps a bit more if the surgeon is good and in demand. Anesthesia and operating room costs would add a bit of course.
A platysmaplasty (under chin excision) does great for men usually and runs $5500. Women usually want the lower face and neck both tightened up nicely and therefore a lower face/neck lift runs about $10-11,000 under local with a little iv sedation. Both are easy to undergo and make a dramatic improvement. Sincerely, David Hansen,MD

Depending on the city and surgeon. Please do not use cost as the only parameter for your surgeon selection.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz
vary widely by what city you are looking in. In my practice, direct neck lifts (cutting on your anterior neck) will run you around $2000 when done in the office under local. If you wanted a corset platysmaplasty, it requires the OR and will run you closer to $6000 with facelifts running even more.
The cost of a neck lift is directly related to the amount of time it takes to perform the procedure in an operating room, the amount of time under anesthesia by an anesthesiologist, and the surgeon's professional fee for performing the neck lift. In our practice, a neck lift involves removal of fat above and below the platysma muscle and a platysma plasty. There is no skin removal. When patients are over 50 years of age and have excess skin in the neck, a lower face and neck lift is required. For many examples, please see the link and video below
A necklift fee depends on how much has to be done, Lposuction, muscle bands released and tightened skin excision. The cost including operating room, sedation abnd surgery varies between $4,500-$7,500.
Neck lift costs in the San Francisco bay area can vary substantially, depending on the type and extent of the neck lift (and/or face lift). Limited anterior neck lifts in which the skin is directly excised in front of the neck may be performed under local anesthesia and can cost approximately $3,500 to $5,000. More formal posterior neck lifts (which may include a mid-face lift and eyelid (blepharoplasty) or forehead lift) can range from $10,000 to $20,000. Many plastic surgery practices, including our own, offer free consultations in which your specific procedure and its costs could be determined prior to your surgery. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive facial rejuvenation experience. Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
