Wide, white scar and lumpiness 7 months after lateral brow lift and fat transfer - advice?

I went to a very reputable surgeon seven months ago and had a lateral brow lift and facial fat transfer. I had an enormous amount of swelling in the months after. In the past couple months, I’ve developed wide, white scars and weird lumpiness near one temple. My surgeon had assured me that my scarring would be minimal (I had hairline lowering 8 years ago that left a tiny scar at my hairline), but this is obvious and unsightly. Is this normal and can it be improved?

Thanks for your question and sharing the photos. I agree that you have a visible scar 7 months post op. Scars can get stretched and also one may have pigment changes in scars. This can be either less pigment resulting in white/pale scars or more pigment resulting in darker scar. I have to mention that the scar transformation is a long process and takes 12-18 months. I would not worry too much until you get to 18 months time point after your surgery. Whatever you have at that time would be the final look. In the meantime, I recommend massaging the scars and protect it against sun and always keep in touch with your original surgeon who would be the best person to support and advise you.
