Broke my nose a second time - should I have it reset now or can I hold off since I am planning for a future septooplasty?

If the ENT doctor examined you and your septum is also deviated then he wants to do both at the same time. He wants the swelling to go down. If he just resets your nose closed, it will not do nothing for the septum.

It's actually fine to wait the couple months and fix everything at once. The quick reset right after injury often doesn't do the job well and many people need to be reset later anyway. So just do it all at one time. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.

Based on your photo, you appear to have a reverse c-shaped appearance to your nose. Feasibility of an open or closed reduction of your nasal fracture would require an examination. Hello and thank you for your question. You could do this either way. There is value in waiting for the swelling to fully resolve and do it as one definitive surgery in a delayed fashion. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

It is certainly possible to perform a septoplasty, reset your nasal bones straight, and a cosmetic rhinoplasty all at the same time under one anesthesia with one recovery.. There's no sense in having two different nasal surgeries. Cosmetic rhinoplasty for the crooked nose is one of the most difficult procedures to perform correctly in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your rhinoplasty specialist very wisely based on extensive experience.
