I’m an amateur boxer who competes competitively and spars around twice a week. I’m having a septoplasty in a month, I’ve been told I can spar 2 weeks post op. Are there more mild septoplasties that can be performed that allow recovery to be so quick ? Also will this cause my septum to be weaker and more fragile inevitably causing it to break more in future ? I just want to know if I get this surgery I can still competativly box and spar and know my nose won’t be weaker then it use to be.
