We make facial assessments using pictures without facial expression. I understand you’re trying to emphasize the areas of concern but dynamic pictures are not useful for trying to understand what the problem is. I’m guessing your problems most likely stem from facial skeleton issues most likely the relationship between your maxilla and mandible. The doctors that are best at making assessments when it comes to bone structure tends to be oral surgeons or plastic surgeons with cranial facial background training. Soft tissues tend to be very consistent from person to person and it is the skeletal foundation that causes problems with the soft tissues. Trying to address the issues by soft tissue manipulation is therefore not going to treat the underlying cause and will most likely leave a sub optimal outcome. Which is most likely why the Liposuction did not deliver what you had hoped for. The problem was not excessive subcutaneous fat in your chin and neck area. To get high-quality results we first must understand what the primary problem is and then come up with a solution that addresses that as closely as possible. Sometimes addressing skeleton structure issues is beyond what people are willing to go through and so we turn to an easier solution but in doing so we must recognize that we’re not treating the problem at hand and partial results are most you can ask for. My guess is if you found the pavement and schedule a series of consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons you’ll probably get a host of different answers and recommendations. Plastic surgeons tend to be soft tissue oriented as well except those who have training in facial skeletal surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
