I saw a groupon for neck and face skin tightening. I went for a consultation before purchasing. She showed it to me. It's a big mask with lots of little red lights. A countourlight? Will this have any effect? They also advertise it to reduce fat... I do not want to get rid of face fat, I want it!
Answer: Recommend looking into doing morpheus8 treatments to help tighten skin Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Skin Tightening for the Neck with Kybella, Ultherapy, thermage, pdo nova threads, exilis, lasers, microneedling/prp No, this will have minimal benefit. A combination approach would give the most improvement. Kybella, PDO Nova Threads, Ultherapy and/or ThermiRF treatments (Venus Legacy) are non-invasive options that would do well in combination for skin tightening. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring and tightening the chin and neck and can be combined with a neck lift at the same time, if you're a candidate. See a cosmetic dermatologist for a long term treatment plan. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Save Your Money Thanks for your question. Do you remember your parents telling you that you get what you pay for? When in doubt, check the FDA clearance of a device and look for words like temporary. Skin laxity on the neck and face can be improved through collagen production. The easiest and least invasive method is through bulk heating. There are several clinically proven and FDA cleared devices on the market. We utilize a radio frequency device called Pelleve. We choose it for its effectiveness and patient comfort. It is affordable, safe for all skin types / sun exposure and has no downtime. We generally recommend a series of treatments based on the patients age (1 treatment per decade). It takes 90 to 120 days to get your collagen production ramped up so don't look for overnight success. Best of luck.

Answer: Red light will not significantly tighten skin on the neck. This will not work. Skin tightening needs controlled heating, and low level emission devices such as theses will not work. Thermage, Ultherapy and other RF devices will have a much better chance of skin tightening than low level LEDs. All the best, Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
