Hello and thank you for your question. We always recommend a face-to-face consultation for advice however from what you have provided here this looks like filler migration- the best option to is to see an injector with the view to potentially dissolving it.

Yes, it looks like the filler was injected outside of your vermillion border. The only thing you can do to get rid of it is either wait for the filler to dissolve on its own, or get hylenex injections to dissolve it.

I know Juvederm ultra has been used by many factors for years as a lip filler but I think that for many patients there are better alternatives, albeit more expensive, now. It tends to be a bit lumpy and cause up to 2 weeks of significant swelling. In your case, the upper lip may be ivergilled, which can lead to the filler migration you see on your upper lip. You will need to have that dissolved then have a different filler at least several days later.

A wonderful new filler that is soft and yet can provide structure, and has been specifically designed for the lips by Galderma, is Restylane Kysse. I also like Restylane Refyne and RHA2 or 3 and for some patients not needing a change in the shape or structure of the lips and wanting to avoid any swelling whatsoever Beletero for the lips.

When it comes to lip augmentation, one type does not fit all needs. I have used 12 different fillers for the lips and still use 6 of them on a regular basis.
