Hi doctors. I currently have a full wrap around custom jaw and chin implant. Unfortunately, the chin portion is asymmetrical and very uncomfortable so I would like to remove just the chin portion and replace with a sliding genioplasty. That said, I’m also currently prepping for possible jaw surgery in about 2 years time. My question is, is it okay to remove the chin implant and replace with a sliding genioplasty now if I will have possible jaw surgery in a year or two? Or would this interfere?
