After tummy tuck, my navel looks weird (Photo)

Question

I had my tummy tuck about four months ago. A week after post op there's a swelling inside my navel and now it's really soft feels like a raisin. My surgeon is out of the country and I'm unable to do follow up. I asked other surgeon or doctors who doesn't know what it is or if this will go away eventually. Please advise.

There is a little bit of excess skin but I think your belly button looks quite good and natural, to be honest.  Fine to wait until your surgeon gets back to discuss with him or her.

Based on your photos it appears that you have some excess skin inside your belly button.  If you follow up with a local plastic surgeon, this could likely be revised with local anesthetic in the office, but likely would be associated with a small charge.  Best of luck!

Your concern is obvious on your photos but exactly what anatomically is causing the defect cannot be appreciated without the benefit of an exam.  Best to have some surgeon evaluate you.  Best wishes

Thank you for your question! First off, your tummy looks great!  Based on your photos, it is a little hard to see exactly what your are referring to with the navel, but it may be that there is a little skin redundancy (extra skin) that could be causing your issue.  If this is true, then a simple in office revision could probably take care of it.  Hope this helps! take care.
