I chose Dr. Koelliker because he specializes in face surgery. He is an expert on the face and has performed hundreds of face surgeries, which was a big deal to me. In addition, he performs a complete work of your face so that the final result is beautiful and balanced. Other doctors force you to choose from a menu of options, and even if those doctors do a good job on what you chose, your final look could be completely out of balance. You don’t have to worry about that with Dr. Koelliker. He listens to you and will do what you wish, but his advice is spot-on. Overall I definitely give Dr. Koelliker 5 stars across the board. I cannot speak to how great Dr. Koelliker is without also talking about Pat Marino who organizes all your details and runs the place where you will go to recover. Pat is a wonderful human being and will take exceptional care of you. What she does is so much more than book transportation and feed you. This experience is REALLY HARD. It is scary and it is intense. It is major surgery, and let’s face it, we are not spring chickens for choosing to do this, which means recovery is harder and longer than in days past. Pat will be there for you and support you when you need it, above and beyond what you can anticipate. I can’t begin to tell you how much Pat cares are will care for you. Together, this team of doctor and recovery angel are amazing. Finally: For recovery, follow their advice, slow down, and do not expect to be dancing around the house a week after the surgery. Dr. koelliker answered all of my questions, explained in detail what to expect throughout the entire process, He was attentive and obviously knows his stuff. Everything went smoothly. I am nearly two weeks out, and could not be happier with how I look, every day the swelling is lessening and my face just looks brighter and more youthful, I especially love my jawline, which is taut and defined. Im very grateful I found Dr. Koelliker Updated on 5 Apr 2019: As you can see I had developed some hallowness under the eyes and the lips had lost volume, the cheeks and jawline definition had slipped...Ugh....Dr. k added a fat transfer under the eye area, and the lips (need another treatment for lips) and dermabrasion on top and bottom of lips....For six nights after surgery I stayed at the Casa Marino in San Miguel De Allende Mexico, which was awesome, I was totally pampered and was able to just relax and heal. Updated on 8 Apr 2019: Today, I'm back to exercising and feeling back to normal, will need to address my lips in the near future, considering a lip lift, but, most likely next fall, does anyone know of a great DR. Who has many lip lifts under their belt? Updated on 4 Dec 2019: Thought I would post current pics, here are some pics taken in late November, The suture lines have disappeared as well as the cheek numbness, My healing was not even an issue, I healed perfectly, I am grateful that with the expert help of Dr. K I was able to achieve such great results.
I had my first full facelift 12 years ago in Celaya, Mexico and I was very satisfied with the results. In July 2018 I decided to return to Celaya, Mexico to have a second full facelift to rejuvenate the pervious one. My experience with my second facelift performed by Dr. Koelliker was successful. Dr.Koelliker was very professional, caring and vigilant in my well-being. He continued viewing my progress by visiting me at lease 5-7 times a day during my hospital stay. Thereafter, I recuperated at Casa Marino in San Miguel de Allende which is a beautiful city in Mexico and I was able to enjoy throughout my stay at Casa Marino. I was provided a beautiful suite and a loving staff that cooked and attended to all my personal needs. I highly recommend by Dr. Koelliker if you are considering a facelift.
I am a 52 year old active female. Honestly, I never thought I would have any type of plastic surgery done. In the past few years, I noticed that I was developing jowls and my eyes were so droopy they close when I smile. My face had fallen and it became very noticable to me. My mother and I discussed it over the Christmas holiday and she suggested I send some pics to her surgeon in Mexico, Dr. Guellermo Koelliker. He suggested that I get a full facelift and eyelid surgery. We scheduled my surgery for April 10th. On my first day, I arrived at the hospital and was checked in to my private room with a pull out sofa for my Mother to sleep. I highly recommend bringing someone with you to assist when the nurses aren't available. Dr. Koelliker met with me and explained his surgery recommendations. He also explained that they would be running a few tests to make sure I was ready for surgery. They ran an EKG and an internal medicine doctor looked over my blood test and vitals to verify that I was healthy for surgery. My surgery was the next morning. I felt very confident in the hospital and Dr. Koelliker. I spent the next two nights in the Celaya Hospital. Dr. Koelliker came and saw me multiple times a day and the nurses checked on my every two hours except at night when they let me sleep. The food was actually very good. The cafeteria ladies even made me a few mexican dishes that weren't on the menu. I appreciated that the cost included the after care in the hospital just in case there were any complications. It was reassuring to see Dr. Koelliker so often. You really aren't in much pain but it is uncomfortable to sleep. On day 3 I moved to Casa Marino in beautiful San Miguel De Allende. Pat has create the perfect place to convalesce after surgery. The suite was comfortable, well appointed and quiet. The bed and linens were very comfortable. I loved the assortment of pillows. They really help when you are trying to sleep. The room includes a flat screen TV and Netflix. They also have a very large selection of movie DVDs. There is a lovely private patio so you can sit outside and enjoy the birds, bougainvillea and jacaranda tree. Two meals are included with your stay and they are delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. They even provide a free phone for calls to the US. I couldn't have asked for a better place to rest and heal after surgery. The hardest part is remembering that your job is to just rest. Dr. Koelliker came to Casa Marino on day 8 and removed my outside stitches. The inside stitches will disolve. We discussed my progress, after care and he answered any final questions I had. He also clears you for travel if you are planning to depart the next day. Again his tone and manner are very comforting and reassuring. On Day 9, my boyfriend arrived and we moved to a VRBO to stay for an additional week. I was already taking short daily walks around town with a hat and sunglasses. Bring hats, big glasses and lots of sunscreen! When my boyfriend first saw me he said, "Your eyes look so beautiful!" We enjoyed an additional week siteseeing around the city and trying all the wonderful restaurants. I really don't think there is a better way to combine a facelift and a vacation than I had in San Miguel with Face Lift Mexico. I am home now. The after photos are from day 18. I still have some swelling on my left side and a little bruising. I highly recommend preparing for surgery with a healthy diet, no alcohol and no smoking. The healthier you are going in, the faster the recovery. I believe Dr. Koelliker did what he said he was going to do which is make me look naturally refreshed, not pulled. My close friends and family may notice a slight difference but most people will not know I had 'work' done. I am very happy with the results and plan to start working and socializing on day 21.
I am from California, middle 60's years young. Dr. Koelliker performed my facelift on September 21. This included: His surgeons' fee was $6,900 USD. 1. upper/lower eyelids 2. mid facelift with SMAS 3. temporal forehead lift 4. neck lift 5. lip fat transplant (extra $600) this was a good choice very youthful and plump This is one of the better choices I have made from the private driver who picked me up at Leon airport to drive me to the hospital where I consulted with Dr. Koelliker to flying down to San Miguel de Allende, with a 3 day hospital private room stay; Dr. Koelliker's office is in the Guadalupano hospital, where my surgery was performed; he came to see me several times a day. Pat Marino was very helpful to answer all my questions by phone and email and her staff were wonderful taking care of me post-op. My healing process was wonderful with lovely surroundings. The third day after surgery my private driver/escort came to pick me up at the hospital for the 45-minute drive to Casa Marino in San Miguel de Allende. A magical place. I loved the colorful people and the culture, arts...great shopping .and I felt very safe walking the streets to explore this lovely city... Spa Club Casa Marino retreat located in San Miguel de Allende where Fabiola and Felisa were expecting us with a lovely lunch and flowers was 4 star. I rested a lot and enjoyed being pampered by Felisa, she made breakfast and lunch every day; now Fabiola was Fabulous; she even did a mani and pedi for me. I felt so well cared for. She inspected my face every day to be sure I was healing well with no complications. I was celebrating my anniversary and every little thing was perfect, even DR K came to Casa Marino to see me for my final follow-up; remove sutures and clear me for travel home. Pat, gave me explicit directions about how to clear customs in Houston on the return to CA and it all went very smoothly. I interviewed many doctors in my hometown and none compared to the price and quality of care as Dr. K. Having surgery in a hospital and NOT a clinic made me feel very confident. His pre-op work-up was superior since I had a small heart condition; he brought in his cardiologist to be sure I was OK for surgery. Thank you DR K., FacelifMexico, Fabiola you made this experience memorable and I know my results will be outstanding. Don't be afraid to do this, there was very little pain and they manage this very well.
Though I've always been told I look younger than my age, this year I turned 60 and there was no mistake, my neck and my droopy eyelids showed my age. I was shocked when I'd see a photo that I didn't 'prepare' for and saw how much I really have aged - and that person in the mirror just didn't look like how I feel! I'm a 'nature girl' and would never have considered a facelift, but a friend of mine recommended her whole experience with Dr. Koelliker here in San Miguel de Allende so enthusiastically--and she looked so incredibly naturally great-- I started to seriously think about it. I loved the idea of combining a trip to a beautiful place with the pampering and spa treatments that FACELIFT MEXICO offers. I am single and I really felt uncomfortable with doing surgery at home and not having anyone there to watch over me...and I also didn't want to run into anyone I know in my own town. This has been the perfect solution. Right from my arrival I felt catered to with such kindness, professionalism and nurturing there has been no sense of worry or anxiety about it. Dr. Koelliker is delightful, sweet, professional and very very skilled. The hospital in Celaya felt very classy and my room seemed more like a cushy hotel room than a hospital room. My procedure went so gracefully there was no pain at all--I was amazed. Of course the doctor is managing any discomfort with medications -- but I have never felt heavily drugged or any nausea at all. The nurses at the hospital are wonderful and sweet...and the food is good. On my third day I was driven by private car to Casa Marino in San Miguel. The driver spoke English and was lots of fun to talk to. Casa Marino is an elegant luxurious retreat and Pat was here to greet me warmly upon arrival right at lunchtime. I met all the staff and was delighted to see how every detail of a comfortable stay is attended to. Fabiola moniters the healing process with a skillful knowledge and nurturing style. The food is gourmet delicious and full of variety and nutritious courses...and my room felt like a 5 star resort! The sheets, pillows, furniture, towels and access to wi-fi, movies, phone calls back home and beautiful places to rest and sit outdoors made me feel so relaxed and comfortable while I wait for my fresh new youthful appearance to emerge! What a pleasant way to go through this adventure - I can't recommend it more highly for anyone considering cosmetic surgery. I'm on day 5 and I feel great, have walked around this beautiful elegant city and sat in gardens and cafes, watching the people go by, enjoyed the lovely historic cathedrals and feel just fine to be out despite a bit of bruising and swelling which is well hidden by my scarf and big hat. If you're considering this, talk to Pat and all your questions and concerns will be answered! Go for it! Updated on 7 Jul 2017: Here it is my last day at Casa Marino. Fabiola just gave me a fabulous pedicure. I am going to miss all this pampering but am staying a week longer in San Miguel moving to a B & B to explore this magical city. I will stay out of the sun and be taking it easy for another week...dont want any complications.
It will be very difficult to find the right words to describe? the exceptional experience I had with Dr. Koelliker and the staff at Casa Marino Spa retreat. ? From being met by my driver/escort, at the Leon airport, driven by private car to the hospital (about a 45 minute ride) and return to the airport from the Casa Marino retreat it was a seamless experience.? The drivers are part of the team and are bilingual. I’m a single 55 year old woman who? after much research; decided to? have a face lift in Mexico with Dr. Koelliker at the Guadalupano Hospital in Celaya City with a 3 night private hospital room stay.. ? Dr. Koelliker's office is in the hospital (he came to my room 3-4 times a day post -op). ? Not only was this one of the best decisions I have ever made but I can’t imagine having had my facelift surgery in a clinic and being sent home the same day.? ?It was all so very intimidating until I met and chatted with Pat Marino on the phone and via email in my search for a skilled surgeon. ? She helped give me the confidence and courage I needed to make this decision .? Pat was always available to answer my emails. I was given very good instructions on how to prepare prior to going in for the surgery. Without that knowledge things may not have gone as perfectly as they did. I decided to go alone since you really are never alone. It was great. ? Fabiola our patient liaison at the retreat was always there to answer my many questions and she inspected my face every morning. Pat was also there, had lunch with us several times and reassured me that everyday my recovery would get better ( and it did) She even took us into town (there was another female patient there during my stay ) to shop.? From the moment I arrived until the moment I returned home went without a hitch, I cannot say enough about Dr. Koelliker and his skilled team who made me feel very comfortable and secure with my decision. My facelift included: 1. Temporal forehead lift 2. upper/lower eye lids 3. mid face? and cheeks? ? with SMAS ? 4. neck lift 5. lip fat transplant ? (UPPER AND LOWER LIP EXTRA $600)? 6. upper/lower lip dermabrasion ? (EXTRA $600)? ?When I arrived I met Dr Koelliker in my private room for photos and our extensive consult, (lasting several hours) he ordered an extensive pre -op evaluation with EKg and blood work (actually I sent this from home to prequalify for my surgery ) but they re-do it once you arrive . ? ?They used IV sedation which is safer than general anesthesia and easier on the recovery part since it doese not make you nauseous. Did not hear or feel anything. The anesthesiologist is an M.D. The Pain was managed by an IV drip along with an antibiotic for 24 hours after surgery. ? ? My dermabrasion was a challenge a bit painful at first and continued to improve starting to scab up and fall off around day 7. I had smokers lines . I also chose to have lip fat transfers to upper/lower lips. He harvested some fat from my neck to inject in my lips. ? I was driven by Dr. K’s private driver ? from the hospital? to the retreat on the morning of the 4th day. I remained until the 10th day and Dr. Koelliker came to the retreat to see me and take out the stitches. I was really impressed that he came to see me to clear me for my flight home. Dr. Koelliker is very compassionate with the best bed side manner of any doctor I have ever visited. Dr.Koelliker speaks very good English which is a big plus. ??My recovery stay at Casa Marino Spa in San Miguel de Allende was an absolute bonus. The care and attention was just what I required after the surgery. I was greeted at Casa Marino by Fabiola, our bi-lingual patient liaison? who was at my side for my every need. Greg, Pat’s husband did rounds at 7PM to be sure I was OK and if I needed anything. A ? hearty breakfast and lunch? were prepared daily by the wonderful cook. ?I found I was happy having some of the delicious snacks provided in the patients refrigerator; I didn’t feel hungry for a full dinner after having a very hearty breakfast and lunch each day. I could have leftovers from lunch put in the refrigerator for later and placed in the micro. I was completely spoiled in every way. ? ? Fabiola gave me a wonderful spa day, a massage, mani and pedi. (they charge extra for spa services). It was wonderful. I felt well enough to go into town for a little shopping about day 6 in charming San Miguel. Casa Marino is a 10 min. walk to center of town. I am leaving tomorrow and feeling a little sad but now I feel I have more confidence and ready to face the challenges of the world.? I’m back home couldn’t be happier so many thanks to Dr. Koelliker and all those involved with my cosmetic surgery vacation. (it was lovely to walk down to breakfast in my luxurious robe provided by the private retreat). I will post more photos later so be sure to follow Dr. Koelliker, he is a wonderful surgeon and cares about his patients safety and comfort. Pat Marino and Fabiola many thanks.
At only 7 days post op, there is no doubt that I've made a life changing decision. A 66 the evidence of age was quite visible. I had contemplated having a face and neck lift for a decade. Having vacationed in SMA several times over the last 2 years, I began to consider the possibility of plastic surgery in Mexico specifically San Miguel. I spent numerous hours online reading reviews of the local plastic surgeons and kept coming back to Dr. Koelliker. This in turn led me to Pat Marino of Facelift Mexico. There were two specific issues that helped make the decision to proceed. One being the 3 day stay in the hospital and the other was the opportunity to transition directly from the hospital to Pat's private lovely retreat, Casa Marino and Spa. As many of you know, leaving the hospital in the US after surgery with general anesthesia borders on cruelty! Pat Marino has over 20 years of consulting with cosmetic surgery patients. Having only a small Spanish vocabulary, using Pat Marino's Facelift Mexico to facilitate everything from transportation to an interpreter for the hospital admission process was imperative for me. I had spent a lovely week in San Miguel with my sister prior to the surgery so felt acclimated and rested. On check-in day we packed lightly and Casa Marino's driver Jorge picked us up and away we went. If you're driving from San Miguel and not the airport the drive is approximately 45 minutes. I must admit that on first glance the hospital didn't look like the Houston Medical Center, however, the check in process was efficient, the hospital immaculate and my private room also had a bed for my sister. I would have been fine alone but she insisted and having her with me for the first night settled my nerves. We laughed at TV in Spanish and had fairly decent hospital food. They brought linens for her bed and dinner as well. Immediately upon arriving in my room, pre-op began. Dr. Koelliker visited shortly after our arrival for our first consultation in perfect English. I expressed my wishes and he concurred on most but also declined one procedure. He is extremely professional and conversation with him is very easy. He visited again in the early evening to explain what would take place in the morning. Later in the evening the Internist came for an examination and to look at the lab results. He was delightful! The operating room was full of people - Dr. Koelliker, 2 anesthesiologists and several nurses. I was soon asleep. If you have any qualms about twilight anesthesia don't. I went to sleep and then awoke. No pain, no nausea. I sent my sister back to her house in SMA and the day was spent sleeping. The care at the hospital was exemplary. I had the pleasure of having one of the sweetest and most adorable English speaking nurses. Thank you Jasmine for caring for me. Phase two - Casa Marino. My stay here has been awesome. My room is wonderful with a small courtyard and fountain. There's TV in English and hundreds of DVD's. I've read 3 books and watched 3 movies. Breakfast and lunch are wonderful and beautifully served. They may have to drag me out of here. Pat, Greg, Fabiola and the kitchen staff are fabulous. It's almost time for me to make the flight home and back to real life. The results so far are painless and the swelling and bruising is diminishing daily. I’m very pleased so far with the results. I'll be posting pictures soon. A note on the cost of surgery - $7500 included a $600 charge for fat injections in lips. Updated on 8 May 2017: It's been 2 weeks and 3 days since surgery. I still have a small amount of bruising under my eyes but that's it! I'm feeling great but still being gentle with myself per Dr.'s orders! Updated on 8 May 2017: I don't know where the $399 price came from and can't seems to edit it out. The total cost is $6900 + $1900 for the 6 night stay at Casa Marino including transportation and meals. Updated on 11 May 2017: As stated in a previous review, the $1900 charge includes not only the 6 night stay at Casa Marino but also the 3 night stay in the hospital for a total of 9 nights/10 days.
I don't think that there are superlatives lofty enough to describe my experience with Patricia Marino's Facelift Mexico, her Spa Club Casa Marino and her brilliant resident plastic surgeon, Dr. Guillermo Koelliker, but I'll do my best. ? Here is what was included in the $6,900 full facelift surgery fee: 1. temporal forehead lift 2. upper/lower eyelids ( I chose not to have the blepharaplasty but fat transfer to my lower lids instead) 3. mid face with SMAS technique 4. necklift 5. I elected to have fat transfers on various areas of my face? for an extra cost. ?Being a male patient, one of my big concerns was the possibility of a visible suture line around the ear. My fears were unfounded, as Dr. Koelliker placed the sutures on the cartilage inside my ears and and behind my hairline, where they soon became invisible. Turns out he shaved minutely an area to place the suture line in the hairline and held back the rest of my hair with pony tails. I was very impressed by the surgical accuracy (pun intended) with which he accomplished this.? I'm an entertainer of a "certain age," who underwent a botched facelift in the U.S. about 9 years ago. At that time, I had already been in fairly regular contact with the lovely and kind Pat Marino, president and founder of Facelift Mexico, and I remained on the fence about whether I should chance having major surgery in a foreign country or "play it safe" by having the procedure performed by a top cosmetic surgeon in the U.S. I feared that if I went to Mexico and something went wrong, I'd have no recourse. My gut said, "go to Mexico," but my head disagreed, and I reluctantly gave in to my fears, opting to have the work done in the U.S., by a highly regarded cosmetic surgeon. Big mistake. The "highly regarded" U.S. surgeon botched the procedure, leaving me with eyes that were of vastly different sizes, eyelids that wouldn't close when I slept, earlobes of vastly different sizes (he "accidentally" sliced-off half of one of them) and a badly executed neck ?lift?, which left the entire left side of my neck a wrinkled ?mess.? Fast forward to 2015. After nine years, this old face was definitely ready for a tune-up and, hopefully, some long-needed revision. During the intervening years, I had stayed in touch with Pat, keeping track of Dr. Koelliker's continued successes and the glowing reports about Spa Club Casa Marino?. I was consistently impressed the kudos and glowing reviews and finally decided that it was time for me to take the plunge. I'm so glad I did. My wife and I were greeted at the Leon/Guanajuato Airport by our charming driver, Hugo, driving a shiny new car. He delivered us to the beautiful, private, state-of-the-art Guadalupano Hospital in the city of Celaya, about 45 minutes from San Miguel. We were shown to our private room (a spouse and/or a companion may stay at the hospital as well, as each private room has a bed AND a convertible sofa), and we soon had a long consultation with Dr. Koelliker, a charming and compassionate person, as well as a highly skilled surgeon. Dr. Koelliker left us and returned a few hours later for another lengthy consultation. Once again, he departed and returned yet again to make sure we were absolutely clear regarding exactly what he was going to be doing the following morning, and how it would be done. During that afternoon and evening, an internist colleague of Dr. Koelliker’s visited us to discuss my upcoming surgery and to let us know that he would be on standby while I was in surgery, on the off-chance that his assistance might be required. Also, the staff came in during this period and performed all of the requisite tests to ensure that I was in good health and ready for major surgery. The next morning, I was awakened and delivered to surgical theater, where I met my team: Dr. Koelliker, his colleague, another cosmetic surgeon who would be working with him, an anesthesiologist and two surgical assistants. I was in VERY good hands. I was given i.v. sedation and the next thing I knew I was in my room, awake and feeling great. There was NO pain whatsoever, no nausea, no unpleasant side-effects at all. I was ready to go out dancing, but my wife and the staff had other ideas!!! No less than five times that same day, Dr. Koelliker visited me to make sure everything was going well. He continued to do so during the second day as well. The nurses checked my blood pressure, and other vitals, many times each day. Never in my life have I felt so pampered and well cared for in any hospital ANYWHERE. At around noon on day three, Huge was back to drive us to Spa Club Casa Marino, a trip of about 45 minutes. Upon arriving at Casa Marino, we were warmly greeted by our hostess, Pat; our personal health facilitator, Fabiola (her name says everything! She's pretty fabulous); and our talented cook, Feyla. Fabiola showed us to our spectacular suite, which was adorned with gorgeous gold Venetian Plastered walls; a high beamed ceiling; rich blue drapes and matching overstuffed easy chairs; two queen sized beds; two dressers; a huge hi-def, flat-screen TV (with cable and Apple TV included); and a toasty fireplace, crackling in the corner. One entire wall was floor-to-ceiling glass, covered with an exquisite vine-like wrought iron grid, looking out to our private garden patio with its bubbling fountain. Heaven! Fabiola soon brought my medications from the pharmacy, and I settled-in for a pampered rest and recuperation. Every morning Feyla prepared and served a delicious breakfast to both my wife and me, chosen by us the night before from an extensive menu. We also were given ample choices for our lunches, which were, without exception, plentiful and tasty. On day two, Pat's gracious and charming husband Greg Pope introduced himself and spent some time with us. Greg is a great storyteller with a wicked sense of humor, and someone we consider a wonderful new friend. If you're lucky enough to experience Facelift Mexico and Casa Marino, make a point of meeting Greg. You'll be glad you did. I stayed in bed and took it easy, as my wife availed herself of the wonders of San Miguel de Allende, a World Heritage site, and one of the most beautiful places we've ever visited. Founded in 1542, San Miguel is overflowing with spectacular Baroque churches, mansions and quaint cobblestone streets. As I was able to join my wife's long walks, after a few days of rest, I must say I quickly discovered that the very best part of being in Mexico is the Mexican people. Invariably kind, courteous, friendly and welcoming, I can see why so many Americans, Canadians and Europeans have decided to live amongst the delightful citizens of this wonderful county. During our forays about town, we discovered world class restaurants, silversmiths and craftspeople of all kinds, enabling us to pack our suitcases with gifts for friends and family back home. One week after the surgery, Dr. Koelliker made a house call to Casa Marino to check on my progress and to discuss our plans for the following day, which included a return trip to Guadalupano Hospital for the removal of my sutures, from the face/neck lift, and the otoplasty (My ears now look great!) and an additional fat? ?transfer procedure. Over the years, I had lost volume in my face and had gained a somewhat gaunt look. Dr. Koelliker liposuctioned a small amount of fat from my body (I offered to donate ALL of it to medical science, but he declined) and, after turning it into stem cells, injected it into areas of my face. The results are a resounding success. Finally, a week after we had arrived, we reluctantly left Casa Marino and were driven to the Leon/Guanajuato Airport for our return to the U.S. It was merely farewell for a while, and definitely NOT good-bye, as we plan to return to San Miguel, and our wonderful new friends at Casa Marino, again and again. Dr. Koelliker COMPLETELY eliminated any and all traces of the formerly botched surgery and gave me back my face, and ears, of 20 years ago. The work Dr. Koelliker accomplished so perfectly, for a mere $10,000, the work that was going to cost me $40,000 in the U.S. Not only is that a savings of 75%, but I feel confident I ended-up with a better result than I would have gotten back home. All that plus fantastic new friends and unforgettable memories of San Miguel. In conclusion, If anyone reading this, who is considering cosmetic surgery, were to ask my advice, I would tell them, "Do yourself a HUGE favor and have your work done by Dr. Koelliker, a world class professional, while saving tens of thousands of dollars and eliminating the scary possibility of an uncertain outcome. Pat Marino, Facelift Mexico and Dr. Koelliker are, quite simply, the best, in any country, at any price.
It started from my always tired-looking eyes. I hated having heavy lids because they made me look many years older! My face didn't match my energy and youthful and active lifestyle. My first consultation about my eyelids made me realize that addressing only this area would not change my appearance. I needed a Full Face Lift! I did a fair amount of research online before coming to the conclusion that the package offered by FaceLift Mexico has the best value with combo of procedures, safety record and accreditation of the surgeon, Dr. Koelliker. My communication with the founder of FaceLift Mexico, Pat Marino, was excellent. She quickly answered all emails and called a few times to explain step by step what was going to happen. I found this very important to keep me more comfortable and less nervous. The procedure involving a temporal forehead lift, upper/lower lids, mid face and neck lift (SMAS) was scheduled on March 21, 2017. Dr. Koelliker addresses each of his clients individually to determine with them what is needed. In my case Dr. K. also suggested the fat transfer from my neck to lower eyelids, upper lips and a bit to lines "11" on the forehead. I totally trusted Dr. Koelliker's recommendations; reading reviews of others I knew his "artistic" skills will take away many years from my face. I also have to mention Doctor's impressive professionalism, kind and gentle approach, which made me feel I had honest, genuine care with a focus on my surgery and the recovery. After 3 nights in a private hospital room, my recovery continued in San Migule's Spa Club Casa Marino. This was such a very nice healing place, with very kind staff and a lovely Mexican decoration. Pat Marino and Fabiola were very welcoming, and the home-cooked meals were wonderful. My diet is not very common, but I was pleased that Fabiola found the way to satisfy my preferences. I felt very well cared for. Dr. Koelliker removed my stitches himself one day before my leaving. By then, I already visited the town and explored the most interesting places! It's been 3 weeks after the surgery, and I continue to heal well. The bruises are almost gone and so is the swelling. I strongly recommend Dr. Koelliker and Spa Club Casa Marino services. I'm very happy with my new look already, although, I know the best results are after 3 months. My pictures show the progress for now. Don't be afraid, go for it!!! Updated on 17 Jul 2017: Thank you all for your wonderful feedback! I feel great and I almost forgot that I looked much different few months ago! This my new face, and the only face, I want to see every morning! The feedback from my friends is also very positive, and on average, people think I'm in my early forties! If any of you readers hesitate to make the decision, please don't! You will never look back. All what remains me my old face is my 100 scarfs I bought to cover my "turkey" neck (which are now useless)! Thank you FaceLift Mexico again!
Thank you for your question. I usuallly have an element of muscle tightening because I do feel like it helps with longevity and it is the muscles that are sagging in adddition to the skin, as well as creating a much more natural look. The only way to make sure your surgeon does this is to choose a surgeon that does this routinely. I always discuss this at consult and the patient usually takes my advice to include the SMAS procedure . Good luck!
I feel it is best to have any surgery in a full facility hospital, with a board certified anesthesioligist MD attending. Your safety and comfort is the main concern; along with your post op recovery.
You are a lovely young lady and I wish for you to be very cautious. Always see a board certified cosmetic surgeon. I agree with the other surgeons lipo is not the way to go and botox could help but I think the buccal fat pad removal may give a slightly narrower look to your face. I always perform my surgeries in a full facility hospital.
Hello: It is always necessary to see photos to give an accurate answer but generally 3 weeks is still the healing time for facelift and fat transfers which I do often; I ask my patients to be patient ....and give it 3 months becasuse healing is stil occurring under the skin; not obvius to others but it is best to still be careful and consider the resuls will be better if you use this 3 month timeframe. We always perform our surgeries in a full facility hospital.
Usually, it is 10 days after facelift providing no complications have occurred. We have been using a 10 day hospita/recovery all inclusive package for my patients for 23 years. Research for 23 years tells the story. We also perform all major surgeries in a full facility hospital which I think says alot for safety. 3 nights in a private room in the hospital where I have my office, I stop in your room several times a day to check on you. I remove the drains the next day (drains are placed to help with any blood that might pool and cause a hematoma) bandages are removed the morning of the 3rd day, a fairly tight compression bandage will remain for the next 48 hours. The next 6 nights are spent at my private retreat for post -op recovery being monitored by professional staff. However, I ask my patients to take it easy for 2-3 weeks post op; no lifting or anything to cause sweating for 6 weeks. No direct sun (wear a good sunscreen) for 3 months. Have a good trip !
