I had a mini tuck, should of had a full. Now i want a full but 1st doctor transected bottom of bb stalk. Do I need to find a doctor to do vascular delay on my bb to save it from necrosis and how would i find one in my area? Im sad i didnt pick the right doctor the first time.
Answer: Abdomen You did not post photos, so I cannot be specific. However, if the incision was not made around the belly button, just dividing the stalk should not cause loss. Please avoid any form of tobacco.

Answer: Neo-umbilicoplasty You may a have a perfect Tummy Tuck and remove the old scar of your original belly button. There are multiple options and techniques to create a new belly button. It is totally unnecessary to try to save your original bb. Be encouraged!!! Your full Tummy tuck will be a total success this time. Dr. Cárdenas

Answer: Belly button will likely not survive. Hi Fantastic415791, Your belly button is a scar, at the site where your umbilical cord used to go through the abdominal wall to your liver. When you were born, the umbilical cord falls off, and the wound heals as a dent...otherwise known as a belly button. Thus, the belly button's primary blood supply comes from its attachment to the abdominal wall. When the belly button is "floated" in a mini tummy tuck, its connection to the abdominal wall is divided, and the blood supply is divided too. A "delay" procedure can improve the blood supply but even after a delay, it's likely that the belly button wouldn't survive in this situation. . I would suggest talking with your plastic surgeon about the possibility of removing your belly button if it looks questionable during the tummy tuck, and having a neo-umbilicus created at that time. Hope this helps. Best,Christopher Pannucci MD MSBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonPlastic Surgery NorthwestSpokane, Washington

Answer: Vascular delay Dear Fantastic415791, every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Answer: Full TT after MTT If enough time has passed from the original surgery and certain other conditions are met, probably you can have your full tummy tuck done safely. You would likely benefit from a high definition tummy tuck using high definition VASER liposuction. The tummy tuck procedure would comprehensively remove excess skin and fat in the abdominal region. The abdominal muscle would also be 'tightened' to create the appearance of a flatter stomach. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a tummy tuck specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
