Can I take muscle relaxers after inner thigh lift surgery for back pain?

I am 9 days out from an inner thigh lift with incision in the groin area. I also had lipo on my outer thighs. All is well but I am having a lot of back pain from sitting and lying around so much. Would it be ok to take a muscle relaxer such as Flexeril or Zanaflex. I haven't been taking any more pain meds for about 3 days now. I am having trouble sleeping which is making the healing process much more difficult.

You should be able to take muscle relaxers after thigh surgery under the guidance of your doctor. By this time postop, you should be quite active and out of the house, doing things. A little activity may go far to improve your back pain.

I would advise you to stop lying around. You need to be moving and around by now. You are asking for more trouble with blood clots to your legs. One reason you may not be sleeping is because you are too sedentary. You will feel better once you are up and moving. Just no strenuous activity for 4 weeks.
