Hello, intermittent swelling can occur after liposuction and it generally resolves over several months.  If it is persisting I would suggest discussing your concern with your plastic surgeon so they can do a proper assessment.

Resolution of swelling after liposuction is quite variable. Most often, swelling resolves within one year after the procedure, but on occasion, it may take even longer. One may be able to accelerate the process somewhat with lymphatic massage and radio frequency treatments if the swelling is intolerable, but, otherwise, it will eventually subside on its own. Consider discussing this problem with your surgeon.
