I had a BBL in Guadalajara Mexico 7 weeks ago, My doctor reccomended hyperbaric oxygen or lymphatic massage after surgery but do to financial reasons I didn't go. I have a burning sensation when I get out of bed or get up from a chair as well as stiffness in my abdomen area, I wonder if I can still get lymphatic massages 7 weeks post op? unfortunately I cannot visit my doctor in Mexico because I live in Los Angeles, CA. I need recommendations as to where I should go and who I can see.

I do not recommend lymphatic massages for my patients after liposuction and BBL. Carefully orchestrate any lymphatic messages with your plastic surgeon.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
I would use a combination approach to revision that includes liposuction, lipocavitation, fibrous release, fat grafting, scar release, PRP SC, and multiplane tissue tightening with RF.

Dear Shawnonemore,After having lipo to obtain the fat to transfer lynphatic and ultrasound massages are very helpful for the recovery and reduces the swelling. They are recommended 10-15 massages and they should be started 3-5 days after surgery. Best wishes.
