Does lip filer dissolver target specific places you inject? (Photo)

Question

I got restylane-L lip fillers over 3 weeks ago. I have a lump in my lip that's towards the inside. It's really noticeable when I talk, smile and I'm at a resting face. What are my options to fix this? Do I have to dissolve the fillers? Can I use juvederm if I have already used restylane? This is my first time getting lip injections and 1ml was used.

Thanks for your question. When dissolving HA fillers hyaluronidase acts locally at the site of injection. This would be the best option to immediately get rid of a lump, and would treat the second spot. Having one brand of filler would not prevent you from having a different brand or type of filler. You should consult with your injector on how to proceed.

you can reverse the filler if its filler or use steroids to calm it down if its scar tissue. and yes you can use another filler type after I would use one that is "softer" like vollure, volbella, silk, or refyne.  Best, Dr. Emer.

A very small amount of hyaluronidase injected into the nodule should dissolve it and should stay relatively focal to that spot. Hope this helps
