This is an excellent question! I generally recommend waiting at least 6-8 weeks between Halo treatments - this allows your skin to heal fully between treatment, and also allows us to see the initial results of your prior treatments. It takes several weeks to see the full extent of collagen stimulation after a Halo treatment (in some cases up to 12 weeks), so I don't like to perform treatments too closely together. The results build on themselves, so a series of treatments is often best. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. Halo is an excellent laser that will address many skin issues. If the patient should need a second treatment in one year, we recommend scheduling the treatments three to six months apart for optimal results.
Optimal results take about 6-8 weeks. If you know that you need more laser after your first treatment, then you can follow up with your doctor and schedule another treatment. Each treatment will be different depending what your skin needs and what the laser protocols are in the office.
As mentioned here before lots depend of the Halo treatment parameters (density, ratio of ablative to non-ablative, combination with other treatments such as BBL, etc) and skin condition to be addressed. In my practice we repeat it every 3 to 6 months. Results are more vivid and dramatic if combined with full field resurfacing.
A lot depends on the intensity of your Halo. With light Halo treatments, I have many patients find that doing a series every 6-8 weeks is great. For more intense ones, I have patients wait 10-12 weeks. The collagen building effects are cumulative, so if you can do a series, the results are amazing!
Thanks for the great question! What I typically tell patients is that they should wait about 12 weeks between Halo treatments. In my experience I've found that it usually takes 10-12 weeks for all of the new collagen to build up after the treatment and for patients to see the final result of the treatment. There are no studies that I know of yet which tell exactly how long it takes the skin to heal between treatments. If you're only at 5 weeks, then you still have a lot more improvement which will occur in your skin! Best of luck and I hope you love your results!~Dr. Sieber
For skin texture changes, the erbium component can give good results within a week, however for collagen remodelling it may take 3-4 months for the best results. A time frame of 4-8 weeks - depending on your skin type , and settings. All the best, Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
This is a great and common question! We often doing combination therapies to help address skin quality. As such, dermal fillers and lasers are often used together to address client concerns better than fillers or lasers could do on their own. The...
The dryness you’re experiencing is normal after HALO. I find that “sand paper” texture typically resolves completely within 7-10 days. I have not found Aquaphor to be necessary post HALO. I also use Avene Cicalfate after HALO. However, washing the face 3-4 times a day with a gentle cle...
I suggest seeing someone who does a lot of acne scar revision. IMO only, I would suggest a combination of the above. Sure, Profractional can be used ( I do have these lasers) however it is always important to match a treatment with your scar type. See web reference for details. All the best in ...
A combination approach would be best. In order to lift the lateral eyebrow, I recommend a combination of botox and fillers. Radiofrequency treatments with thermage and/or ultherapy work very well to also elevate the brow and pull the skin away from your eye. Sometimes you need surgery such as b...
Treat your entire face to reduce lines of demarkation. The only thing I can add is that the spot size of the erbium is a little large, so grids can occur. I have done over 2000 sciton procedure, and only had 2 cases of grinding, this can be fixed. Treat the entire cosmetic complex to reduce the ...
Thank you for your question. The Halo laser is quite unique, as it actually combines two different laser wavelengths at the same time - it's like having a light ablative laser treatment (that actually exfoliates and removes the most superficial layers of the skin) and a non-ablative laser ...
