I have Veneers, can I still get a palatal expander to widen my arch?

i didnt do my research younger when i got veneers and only recently did i realize that i have a narrow arch that needs to be widened. however, i DO like my veneers right now and would like to keep them...just have an overall wider smile. can i widen my arch and smile even though i have veneers and how so?

Widening your smile after having veneers placed is certainly not a problem.  However, if spaces are created between your veneers, it may required to have one or more of them redone. Your arch could certainly be expanded after veneers are placed. Be aware, minor expansion will likely make no difference for the veneers, but significant expansion may open spaces between the teeth veneers or not. Hope this helps.

That is a great question but a difficult one to answer without more information.  I suggest you get together with an orthodontist that your dentist recommends and have a discussion about what your options are.  Good luck!
