I've been getting botox for 10-15 yrs and I've had it happen a few times now where my glabella lines actually look worse after treatment. It actually FEELS like I'm force frowning...like a tight pull down toward my inner brows. So I am constantly trying to lift my brows to open my eyes up so the frowning isn't so bad. I've had this happen with two different doctors now...both of which are board certified plastic surgeons/dermatologists.
Answer: 30 units of Botox for Glabella, Forehead, and Crows is not nearly enough Dosing for the glabella alone is about 20 units. Crows is also about 10 on each side, and forehead 8-10. You've been under dosed. If the Botox is placed superficial in the medial corregator area, it's possible to hit the frontalis in this area. This causes medical brow ptosis (dropping). It can be helped by injecting the depressor supercillii muscle. In future, the injections need to be deeper, and more units.

Answer: Glabella lines worse after Botox Unfortunately there is no documentation of the amount and exact locations of the injections. Also to fully evaluate the situation photos that show at rest and at maximum contraction just before and then about a week after treatment are needed. Without this information it's difficult to come to any conclusion and any suggestion would be speculation. Personally, I've never had anyone who was worse after treatment. I suggest that you obtain the above documentation for your next treatment and if you should run into this problem again it will be much easier to figure out what's going on.Best wishes
