Is BodyFx or Sculpsure more effective in eliminating abdominal fat, reducing cellulite on buttocks and toning skin?

It is the only FDA-approved laser that can eliminate up to 25% of your existing fat cells in the areas that are stubborn and resistant to fat reduction through diet and exercise. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!Sculpsure is a noninvasive 1060nm diode laser treatment that removes up to 25% of stubborn fat in the treated area in 25 minutes.It is FDA approved for the abdomen and flanks. It is safe if you get pregnant in the future.The body contouring effects are seen in as quick as six weeks with final results at 12 weeks. The results are permanent as long as you maintain your weight and health.The laser targets and destroys the fat cells only which are then naturally removed from the body. Since the laser does not affect the skin or muscle it can be used on all skin colors and there has been no reported incidents of burns when treated by a properly trained physician. It is protective since it alternates heating and cooling. It has four applicators that can be customized to treat the areas of stubborn fat. If a second treatment is needed we wait at least six weeks and usually closer to 12. There is no downtime and you can resume your normal activities right after the treatment. There may be some soreness in the area for a few days for which you can take ibuprofen or tylenol. A cold compress can also be used.Sculpsure is not used for skin tightening however some of her patients have seen this. BodyFX is used to eliminate cellulite, whereas Sculpsure is used to target stubborn areas of fat. For these types of results, a combination of treatments are needed. I recommend combining Sculpsure with Vanquish and Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra treatments. We currently use a fire and ice treatment with Coolsculpting and Vanquish for good results in fat removal. Cellfina combined with Sculptra works well to improve cellulite. Sculpsure and Body FX treat two different issues. Sculpsure eliminate fat cells in the treated area by 23%, permanently. Body FX treats cellulite. To determine which treatment is right for you, schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who offers both to discuss. 

BodyFx and SculpSure are 2 completely different types of treatments. The former is more specifically for cellulite, while the latter is for fat reduction. Because SculpSure is a laser treatment, it will give the added benefit of providing some degree of a skin tightening effect, although I would not recommend it as the best treatment solely for skin tightening. If you are wanting to get results with all 3 of these issues, you are most likely to need a combination of treatments. You would be best served by having an in-person consultation with an experienced cosmetic specialist, who can help you determine what your priorities are, and what types of interventions will work best for your needs. 

I do not have any personal experience with BodyFx but I can tell you that SculpSure is the most advanced and effective non-invasive fat reduction procedure currently available. It is extremely effective at eliminating not only abdominal fat, but also fat from other areas. In terms of cellulite, there is nothing currently available that is effective on cellulite specifically, however fat reduction in an area can reduce the overall appearance. An added bonus of SculpSure is that it provides skin tightening to the treated area to avoid laxity that can sometimes accompany fat reduction. Additionally the procedure takes only 25 minutes and you are able to return to all normal activities immediately following.

SculpSure uses a laser to target and destroy fat cells, about a 25% reduction per session. There is no cellulite reduction or documented skin tightening  BodyFX uses radiofrequencey and suction to reduce cellulite and smooth the skin, there is no documented fat destruction.  Both are outpatient treatments with no anesthesia and no down time.  But, as you can see, they are 2 totally different entities with 2 different results.
