I am 5’11 and 125 lbs. I think I currently wear a 30aaa bra size but I’m not entirely sure because I only wear sports bras. I went to a breast augmentation consultation and the physician said I have a 14cm breast width. The smallest size implant he is willing to put in me is a 360 cc inspira low plus profile 13.5 width implant. It felt way to big. I saved up the money to get implants for over a year and now I don’t know what to do.
Answer: Breast implants I think the breast width measurement thing is very misleading. It’s only a recent thing, but patients are impressed because it seems so precise. I do agree however that 360 cc is totally appropriate and not overly large. Of course you can always get a second opinion or go with smaller implants.

Answer: Breast augmentation Based on your photo and measurements I believe a 360cc implant is appropriate for your body but you would also do well with a smaller implant. Make sure your consultation is with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss your options. Try on implant sizers to see what size feels comfortable on you. I have included a video in hopes that it helps to answer some of your questions. Good luck.

Answer: Go in for another fitting and try out other sizes Thank you for your question. I think trying on implants in the office is a very important step to see how you will feel about them. They will always feel and look larger in the bra than once in the body. From personal experience, many patients do wish that they went larger. You’re very tall and I would say a 360 cc implant is very appropriate for you. It will probably give you a full B to small C cup. Initially implant do look larger and are very high, and there is swelling. At 3 month time once swelling is all gone and implants drop, they do appear smaller. I would recommend going in for additional fittings and having more discussions with your surgeon or getting additional consults from other board-certified plastic surgeons. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Olga Bachilo, MD

Answer: What is the smallest size implant I can get with a 14 cm base width? (Photo) Hello, thank you for your question. A board certified plastic surgeon will be able to guide you to the correct size implant. Based upon measurements of your chest wall and breast imprint width as well as knowledge of all breast implant sizes and profiles should make this process easy. Try on a profile bra with various silicone cc sizers your PS recommends under a tailored blouse, tank top, bikini, workout clothes, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected. Select the size that boosts your self-esteem, and fits your anatomy. Choosing an implant based on an aesthetic goal that exceeds your anatomic capacity may lead to complications and possibly revision.

Answer: Size If you want a smaller size, find a surgeon who will listen to you. Your base is not the restricting thing for small sizes. You might do well with 250 to 300 cc range.

Answer: Choosing the right size breast implants for you. Much smaller exists. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and profile implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them.
