I am 11 weeks post op from my bbl. I'm still using bbl pillow to drive and i sit on a pillow at work. My doctor wanted to me to use it for up to 8 weeks and I have a follow up with him in 3 weeks but I wanted to know what is the recommended time for continuing use of the bbl pillow?
Answer: BBL Pillow At our office we recommend that a BBL pillow be used to take any pressure off the buttocks for at least six weeks post BBL. After the six weeks has passed, the newly transferred fat cells have likely created the necessary blood supply to keep the fat cells alive. Once the six weeks are up, my patients typically stop using the BBL pillow and resume normal daily activities. Using the BBL for longer than six weeks is not always necessary, but it certainly cannot hurt.Be sure to follow your surgeon's instructions for best results.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear LovingMeSomeMe78,I instruct my patients not to sit for 2 solid weeks. We provide them a specialized pillow that our patients can sit on during that time. They can sleep on their stomachs or sides. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
