What is the recovery time like for a breast augmentation? Should I do it separately?

Breast augmentation recovery is 3 weeks of no lifting, pushing, pulling anything over 30 pounds or anything to raise your heart rate. An abdominoplasty recovery is 6 weeks of no exercise. I would suggest having your plastic surgery office give you 3 fee quotes (one for breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and mommy makeover).

you should recover witing a few weeks after breast augmentation. Mommy makeover is a more complicated procedure as it usually includes tummy tuck so recovery time is a bit longer in that case.

Hello, the recovery time for a mommy make over and for breast augmentation is basically the same, I would recommend that you do everything at once if possible, it is a single recovery.

A mommy makeover can consist of various things. Often times, patients need more of a lift than augmentation. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. You may be a candidate for a breast lift more than augmentation. The breast lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. A tummy tuck can be performed at the same time or later. I would need more information to give you a more accurate answer.

The best part of having the procedures done at the same time is having one recovery. With breast augmentation surgery you can be back to work in a few days to a week, depending on what you do for a living. The choice is yours. Best wishes!

I also categorically suggest getting in touch with your surgeon or his team and let him know your concerns and suggestions. Recovery from a breast augmentation varies by patient. Generally patients can return to a non physically demanding job within 5 to 7 days. Lifting and activity restrictions are often in place up to six weeks. Breast augmentation is often performed in conjunction with a Mommy Makeover. Patients often prefer having to go through surgery and recovery one time if it can be done safely.

Recovery after breast augmentation is relatively quick. Patients typically return to work within a couple days depending on their occupation. Especially if your mommy makeover includes liposuction and/or tummy tuck, the breast augmentation is the shortest recovery of the common mommy makeover procedures.

Full recovery is up to 6 weeks. Do the procedures together or separately, whatever works best for your schedule and pocketbook.
