Undergoing septo and rhino together. Was told that rhino will take 30 mins. Is this right? Seems like it should take longer.

When a surgeon gives a time estimate it is just an average time frame. Thus you were told 2 to 21/2 hrs as the average. Therefore 4 hrs would be the possible time at its longest. 

 A septoplasty and a rhinoplasty are 2 completely separate procedures, but both can be performed at the same time under one anesthesia with one  recovery period. The rhinoplasty procedure  is much more complicated than a septoplasty procedure.  In our practice,  a septoplasty  takes less than 30 minutes,  while rhinoplasty will be one to one  and a half hours.  Since rhinoplasty is the hardest operation to perform in the entire field of cosmetic surgery, choose your rhinoplasty surgeon based on extensive experience. Every surgeon has a different way of doing it ,there is no black and white differentiating line between septoplasty and Rhinoplasty  ,both are integrated technique.Time really is not important ,so long it gives good results.An ENT with cosmetic surgery trainig is a good choice for Crooked nose correction 

Different surgeons have different approaches to nasal reshaping surgery and may take more or less time.In my hands rhinoplasty ,endonasal approach, takes about one to one and a half hours to be completed and refined.
