Has anyone had success treating Diastasis recti that is an in shape male without having to do a lower tummy tuck. It seems most doctors want to do a lower tummy tuck, but if you do not need one can it be fixed successfully through a different surgical method?

Hello Destin2013, Thank you for posting your question. All concerns are valid and should be addressed; however, it is essential to have an in-person evaluation so that a Board Certified Surgeon who specializes in these procedures can give a correct assessment.
I agree with your surgeon. PDO sutures can take 9 months to dissolve fully. Give surgery a year for those sites. Masssging during that time may help. In terms of removal if needed, that's not an easy surgery and likely the benefits to not outweigh the risks.
