It appears from your photographs, the lower lip is not pulling down when you smile. This can occur as a result of injections into the depressor anguli oris muscles or even from platysma injections, as both serve as lip depressors. Although these injections are performed to help soften smile lines, the side effect you are describing may occur. Probably better to avoid these areas next time.
I'm not sure where you had the Botox administered, but this may be due to Botox placement. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months. In the mean time, venus legacy treatments can soften results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Fillers are much better and safer in this location. The weakness of the smile will wear off but it can take months. Don't do this service again.
It is always much safer to have injections of fillers around the mouth or lasers than Botox around the mouth. It sounds like the placement of the Botox in this area has caused these side effects. It will take up to four months for this to resolve. Please consult an expert in Botox for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
It depends on where the Botox was injected. If it was used to treat glabella, forehead or crow's feet then no, but if used to treat the masseter, mandibular line or neck then it is possible but it is temporary and will wear off over a couple of months
first of all the person in the photographs is smiling just fine. Second, you never mentioned where your Botox was administered. you should be more direct and more definitive about your question and you should provide us with more of a storyline. Good luck from New York City
When Botox is placed in the usual treatment locations in the face, it is very unusual to see affects related to your smile or speech. However, if the Botox placement allows the Botox to influence muscles related to speech or smile, then these things can be affected and will not improve until the effects of Botox begin to wear off in about 2 to 3 months. You should see your plastic surgeon for an evaluation.
