Can I get a revision to correct my crooked belly button after a tummy tuck?

Dear Mrs. Utah:The causes of a crooked post-operative button may be multifactorial. The most common cause of post surgical asymmetry is pre surgical asymmetry .One would need to examine pre-op photos for better assessment of the belly and for undiagnosed scoliosis. Surgically, the belly button may become off-centered if the surgeon had to plicate (tighten the muscle separation ) more on one side than on the other which would pull the belly button to the higher side. Finally, there is the skin/scar which may be bit more tricky to correct with no additional scar.In other words, There is no one approach to the issue. It depends on the cause.
