My doctor prescribed me prednisone for the halo/BBL procedure. I do not want to take steroids. Is this common?

I have no health issues or background that would require it. Begin script one day prior, continue for 10 days Can I take ibuprofen instead if needed?

Steroids can be recommended for swelling (edema).  Best to discuss your concerns with your surgeon at this time.
The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Good Morning, Thanks for your question. first, we have to know why you're supposed to take steroids, but in most of the cases they're good for edema or swelling, I recommend you to talk with your surgeon to see if there's another method.

I do not know why your doctor specifically prescribed you steroids. In general, some will recommend this medication for swelling, but in my opinion, this is a temporary solution. You should ask your doc.
