SkinPen Microneedling 4 weeks after VI Peel?

Question

I just did the VI Peel on 2/23 - last Thursday. I am recovering well. Peeling a lot today but I think it will subside by tomorrow morning. My derm office told me that SkinPen microneedling would be a good option for me - I have some cystic acne scars... Would it be ok to do the microneedling 4 weeks after the Peel - 3/23? Would it be better to have those treatments back to back or should I wait another month or so??

Yes, waiting 4 weeks from your VI peel for a microneedling session gives the skin time to heal. Pairing VI peel with microneedling will help with acne scars, dark spots, and overall tone and texture of the skin.

Microneedling and Vi peels are used to rejuvenate the skin in totally different fashions.  I believe there should not be an issue doing a microneedling treatment 4 weeks after a Vi peel as long as you are completely healed.I hope this helps.

I would agree with your dermatologist. Doing you peel prior to your microneedling is an excellent treatment plan to achieve optimal results. Having your microneedling done 3-4 weeks after a peel is recommended. Enjoy your treatments.
