Its very uncommon to experience pain after Botox, some discomfort in the injection site is possible but usually not very noticeable. It will take about 1-2 weeks to see the full result of the treatment. If for any reason you are experiencing itchy redness I would recommend following up with your Doctor.
Although not very common there can be some discomfort in the face after Botox injection. this is short-lived and has no bearing on the results
So odd symptoms are common after botox including facial pain, and in my experience, hundreds of other odd symptoms too. I think it is down to making us acutely aware of that part of our face. Having said that, i have seen infection post botox injection so make sure it isn't red or enflamed but otherwise, as your botox kicks in and you think less and less about it, i suspect your pain will settle. Thank you for your question. In my experience, most patients only experience a mild pin-prick sensation with each Botox injection. Occasionally, some people may develop a mild headache a few hours after injection, particularly if it is their first Botox treatment. Persistent facial pain is not common after Botox - please follow-up with your injector to discuss your concerns. Best of luck!
