Would it be safe to use V Beam to reduce redness 6 weeks after traditional CO2 laser?

I didn’t realize I would still be so red. I was told this could persist for up to 3 months. Not sure what to do

In our office, we have several treatments that can help improve common vascular skin issues, including rosacea, post-inflammatory erythema, red scars, facial blushing, and spider veins. The Vbeam laser continues to be the gold standard for redness, including rosacea and post-inflammatory erythema. In some cases, we add Venus Viva RF coagulation to help improve redness on the skin from spider veins, inflammation, and rosacea. 
  
Generally, several sessions are required to improve redness on the skin. Vbeam laser, IPL Limelight, and Venus Viva all work very well with minimal downtime. 
  
Patients with rosacea may benefit from topical creams to help soothe inflamed skin. We recommend Elevase Moisture Booster. For Post-inflammatory erythema, Plato’s Scar Serum is recommended twice daily.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to give you any recommendations without at least a few photos to indicate the level of redness you are experiencing. As a general rule, Vbeam is one of the best treatments available for facial redness. However, use in your case would depend on the reason behind the redness as well as the severity of your side effect. I encourage you to schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor for an in-person assessment and additional treatment recommendations.

Unfortunately it is hard to provided recommendations without photos that depict the level of redness that you are experiencing 3 months after your CO2 laser. Treatment recommendations can include the V beam, a short period of topical steroids, etc. It is best to follow up with your provider for an in person evaluation and recommendations.

Yes, it would be safe to use the Vbeam laser that soon after a CO2 laser treatment.  However, it is difficult to predict how well the Vbeam would work as often the redness is from deeper areas of the dermis that the laser cannot reach.
