Is it safe to have a Rhinoplasty and Hair Transplant in the same month? Anesthesia risks?

I plan to have two surgeries in my holiday. A hair transplant under local anesthesia on the 6th of January and a Rhinoplasty under general anesthesia on the 15th of January. Will it be safe or would there be any anesthesia risks?

It is certainly acceptable to undergo a hair transplant under local anesthesia and rhinoplasty under general anesthesia  within a of couple weeks of each other.  Choose your surgeon wisely and make sure you look at their photo gallery

there should be no problem with doing both surgeries within a month.  In fact we will at times combine the two procedures.  It is rare that we use a general anesthesia for a Rhinoplasty and instead  prefer intravenous sedation

This depends on what type of anesthesia you are having.  First off, the overall safety of anesthesia in an otherwise healthy individual is extremely high and I would not be concerned about that.  However, hair transplant surgeons will show you evidence that general anesthesia can negatively affect graft survival when received in the weeks before or after the transplants.  But, the good news is that neither a rhinoplasty nor hair transplant procedure require general anesthesia.  Hair transplant is usually done with only minimal sedation (a "valium" pill).  Rhinoplasty may or may not be done under general anesthesia.  It is my preference to do rhinoplasty without general anesthesia but rather IV sedation.  My colleague to whom I refer hair transplant patients does not believe that IV sedation negatively affects hair transplants, only general anesthesia.

The proposed plan seems reasonable with a reasonable amount of time between procedures. Both procedures are low risk for a healthy patient.
